Terms and Conditions — Surf Clinic Lagos.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and your booking of surf lessons, rentals, or other services with Surf Clinic Lagos , NIF 265361818, based in Lagos, Portugal.
1. Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by us, either online or in person. A booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation (email or message) from us.
2. Payment
Payment is due at time of booking (you can choose to pay a 30% deposit or the full amount). For booking less than 48 hours prior to the lesson we require the full amount.
We accept cash, card, bank transfer, Paypal and Revolut. Prices are listed in euros (€) and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
3. Cancellations and Refunds:
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled lesson are eligible for a full refund or reschedule.
Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before the lesson: your deposit will be forfeited (or, if paid in full, 30% of the total price).
Cancellations made within 48 hours will not be refunded.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to unsafe sea, weather, or wind conditions, at no cost to you — in this case we will offer a reschedule or full refund.
4. Participants
Participants must be able to swim and be in reasonable physical health.
Participants under 18 require the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must sign our Liability Waiver on their behalf.
We reserve the right to refuse or end a lesson for anyone we reasonably believe is unfit, intoxicated, or a risk to themselves or others.
5. Equipment
Rented equipment (boards, wetsuits, etc.) remains the property of Surf Clinic Lagos. Renters are responsible for any loss or damage beyond normal wear and tear, and may be charged for repair or replacement.
6. Assumption of Risk Surfing and related water activities carry inherent risks:
By booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree to our separate Liability Waiver, which you must read and accept (or, for minors, have a guardian accept) before participating.
7. Photos and Video
We may photograph or film lessons for promotional use (website, social media). If you do not want to be included, please tell us before your lesson in writing.
8. Website Use
Content on this website is owned by Surf Clinic Lagos and may not be copied or reused without permission. We try to keep information accurate but do not guarantee the website is error-free.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos, Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under Portuguese or EU law.
